OUR POOL TO 5k program is back!
Fun, fitness, and FABULOUS ladies!
While a bit unconventional, the pool is actually the PERFECT place to train for a 5k! Do you have cranky hips and knees? A history of leg or back injuries? Or maybe you’re a bit out of shape or overweight & can’t tolerate high impact workouts? Your body will LOVE our aqua running workouts!
Join us for our special 13-week program (June 18 - Sept. 14) which will prepare you to walk, run, or walk/run the she.is.beautiful 5k in Santa Barbara on Saturday, September 14, 2019. With support from your amazing teammates and guidance from experienced coaches, we guarantee you will cross that finish line with a smile on your face!

Our 2019 Pool to 5K Program costs $325 and includes:
25 aquatic workouts (Tuesdays & Thursdays, from 7-8am, starting June 18)
13-week training log, including recommended “land” workouts to supplement your pool program
2 FREE injury prevention workshops
Race day team t-shirt
Race day course support from MAC coaches
Regular check-ins to follow up on your individual progress & any concerns you might have
Weekly tips from MAC coaches
Special discounts on additional water fitness class & open swim packages
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED?

What if I can’t run? You can walk, skip, jump, or cartwheel! Just kidding, of course, but we will work with you from day 1 to help you reach your personal goals, whether they may be to walk, run, run/walk, achieve a personal best, or simply finish your first 5k. Our Pool to 5k Program is designed for beginner to intermediate walkers and runners.
Can I sign up for this program if I don’t want to do the race? Sure, you can join us for the Pool to 5k (and skip the 5k)! But we think it’s going to be a lot of fun, so you’ll probably change your mind as race day approaches!
Do I have to sign up for the 5k option? No. 5k, 10k, and 10-mile options exist. However, race support from MAC coaches is only guaranteed for the 5k option.
I’m not available on September 14… should I still sign up for Pool to 5k? YES! If you can’t make it to the she.is.beautiful 5k, we recommend training for the Goleta Lemon Run (5k or 10k) on September 22 or the Mission Trails 5k at La Purisima Mission State Historic Park on September 21.
What if I have summer vacation plans? While we are unable to process refunds for missed classes, we feel confident that you will be able to complete the 5k race even if you need to miss a week here or there. If you’ll have access to a pool, we can provide you with the water workouts you’ll miss. No pool? Keep up with your recommended “land” workouts & you should be fine!
I would love to do this, but there’s no way I can join you on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7am. Please contact us. With enough interest, we may open up a weeknight class, too.
